Government proposal writer needed

We are looking for an experienced proposal writer with a strong background in responding to government, municipal, county, state, federal, and private-sector RFPs, RFQs, RFIs, and bid solicitations. This will be an ongoing relationship for the right person. We're looking for someone who can not only write compelling proposals but also help identify opportunities and improve our chances of winning contracts. Responsibilities Research and identify relevant government and local contracting opportunities Write persuasive, well-organized proposals and capability statements Respond to RFPs, RFQs, RFIs, and Invitations to Bid (ITBs) Prepare required compliance documents and proposal packages Ensure submissions meet all deadlines and formatting requirements Edit and improve existing proposal templates Collaborate on pricing narratives, technical responses, and executive summaries Help develop a repeatable proposal process Preferred Experience Proven success winning government contracts Experience with federal, state, county, and municipal procurement Familiarity with platforms such as: SAM.gov GovWin BidNet Bonfire OpenGov DemandStar IonWave Local procurement portals Excellent English writing and editing skills Strong attention to detail Ability to work independently and meet deadlines Nice to Have Experience writing proposals for service-based businesses Knowledge of compliance requirements and procurement regulations Experience creating capability statements Grant writing experience is a plus To Apply Please include: A brief overview of your proposal writing experience Industries you've worked in Your proposal win rate (if available) Examples or samples of proposals you've written (redacted is fine) Your hourly rate or fixed-price preference Why you believe you'd be a good fit for this role This is a long-term opportunity.
