# Growth Marketer / Paid Media for a B2B SaaS Demand-Validation Test (Funnel + Ads) ## Context We are running a short, structured demand-validation test for an early-stage B2B SaaS product (AI infrastructure with a sustainability layer). This is not a lead-generation campaign. The goal is a clean read on willingness to pay and which buyer segment responds, using a costly call to action (a card-on-file founder pre-order), not free email signups. We need someone who can build the funnel once and drive qualified volume through it in two phases: an organic phase first, then a low-budget paid phase behind whatever message wins. ## What you will do **Phase 1: organic plus funnel build** - Build a simple landing page with a two-headline split test - Set up a short survey with logic and partial capture - Set up a Stripe card-on-file founder pre-order, no charge until launch - Instrument everything: funnel analytics, conversion events, UTMs - Distribute through organic channels (Hacker News and Show HN, relevant subreddits, technical and climate communities, LinkedIn organic) plus a warm outreach list we provide **Phase 2: paid volume** - Reuse the same funnel, add pixels and conversion tracking - Run a low-budget paid campaign behind the winning message across the cheapest qualified channels - Run a small LinkedIn cell to read the B2B segment - Optimize to cost-per-qualified-completion, not cost-per-click - Report results tied to our hypotheses ## Required - 3 or more years in performance or paid media, ideally as a growth marketer who owns the full funnel, not just the ad account - Demonstrated B2B or SaaS experience, not DTC or e-commerce only - Meta Ads and Google Search proficiency, verifiable with account access or case studies - Has built and instrumented conversion funnels: landing page, survey, payment or pre-order, analytics, pixels, UTMs - Comfortable designing and reading split tests and conversion data, not vanity metrics - Conversion copywriting for ads and landing pages ## Strong bonus - Reddit Ads experience - LinkedIn Campaign Manager experience - Audience experience in developer tools, AI or ML, FinOps, or climate and sustainability - Familiarity with lean validation, smoke tests, fake-door tests, or Steve Blank methodology - No-code stack fluency: Carrd, Framer, or Webflow; Tally or Typeform; PostHog; GTM; Stripe ## Tools Landing: Carrd, Framer, or Webflow. Survey: Tally or Typeform. Payments: Stripe. Analytics: PostHog plus GA4. Tracking: Meta Pixel, LinkedIn Insight Tag, Google Ads tag, Reddit Pixel, GTM. Links: Dub.co plus UTMs. Creative: Canva. ## Engagement - Project-based, roughly 2 to 3 weeks - [Set rate: hourly or fixed-price] - Ad budget is separate and modest - Possible follow-on work if the test earns a next phase ## Screening questions 1. Share a past campaign where you ran a costly CTA (paid pilot, pre-order, deposit, or card-on-file), not a free email signup. What was the conversion rate? 2. Tell me about a test where the result was no demand or a pivot. What did you do with that result? 3. Which of these have you personally run, and link proof: Meta, Google Search, Reddit Ads, LinkedIn Campaign Manager. 4. Walk me through how you would instrument this funnel so we can trust the willingness-to-pay number.
