Summary

We are looking for a highly analytical and execution-focused Head of CRO / CRO Operator to own conversion rate optimization across our ecommerce funnel. This role is not just about making small landing page tweaks. We need someone who can think deeply about the entire customer acquisition and monetization journey — from ad click, landing page, offer, checkout, upsells, subscription opt-in, rebills, retention, and ultimately LTV:CAC. You must have direct experience working with 8-figure ecommerce brands, ideally in a high-volume direct response environment. Responsibilities You will be responsible for building, managing, and improving our CRO testing system across the business. This includes: Creating a constant pipeline of CRO hypotheses based on data, customer behavior, funnel performance, AOV, CAC, LTV, approval rates, rebill rates, and profit. Planning, launching, and analyzing split tests across landing pages, checkout pages, offers, upsells, downsells, subscription flows, and post-purchase flows. Using Checkout Champ to set up and manage split tests properly. Understanding how changes to offer structure, checkout flow, subscription take rate, rebill success, AOV, and approval rates impact the overall economics of the business. Building clear workflows and testing processes so the team knows what is being tested, why it is being tested, what success looks like, and what decision should be made after the test. Creating organized documentation around every test, including the hypothesis, test setup, KPIs, results, learnings, and next steps. Working with media buyers, creative strategists, developers, designers, and customer support to identify funnel bottlenecks and opportunities. Constantly assessing where the biggest profit levers are in the funnel. Turning data into clear action — not just reporting numbers. Must-Have Experience You must have: Experience working with 8-figure ecommerce brands. Strong understanding of subscription ecommerce economics, especially LTV:CAC, payback windows, rebill rates, retention, and contribution margin. Direct experience with Checkout Champ. Ability to run and manage split tests inside Checkout Champ. Experience building CRO workflows, SOPs, dashboards, testing roadmaps, and reporting systems. Strong understanding of direct response funnels, advertorials, landing pages, checkout flows, upsells, downsells, and subscription offers. Ability to form strong hypotheses and prioritize tests based on potential business impact. Strong analytical ability — you should be comfortable looking at revenue, AOV, CAC, ROAS, approval rates, refund rates, chargeback rates, subscription opt-in rate, rebill rates, and profit margin. Ability to work with developers and designers to get tests built, QA’d, launched, and measured properly. Nice to Have Experience with supplements, health, beauty, skincare, or other subscription-heavy DTC categories. Experience with payment approval rate optimization and understanding how checkout changes affect processor performance. Experience with post-purchase upsell optimization. Experience using analytics tools such as Triple Whale, Northbeam, Hyros, Google Analytics, Shopify, Checkout Champ reporting, or similar tools. Basic technical understanding of front-end development, tracking, pixels, UTMs, and QA. What Success Looks Like You will be expected to: Build a clean CRO testing roadmap. Launch consistent, high-quality tests. Improve AOV, subscription take rate, checkout conversion rate, upsell take rate, approval rates, retention, and contribution margin. Help us understand which tests actually improve profit, not just surface-level conversion rate. Create a repeatable system where hypotheses are constantly generated, tested, analyzed, and turned into new learnings. Communicate results clearly to leadership and the wider team. Who This Is Not For This role is not for someone who has only run basic landing page tests or changed button colors. We need someone who understands ecommerce economics at scale and can connect CRO decisions to real business outcomes like CAC payback, LTV, margin, approval rates, and subscription retention.
