High School Math Tutor Needed - MUST Be Proficient with Statistics

Job Overview We are seeking a knowledgeable and enthusiastic Math Tutor to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mathematics, excellent teaching skills, and a passion for helping students succeed. As a Math Tutor, you will provide one-on-one remote tutoring sessions to high school and/or college students, helping them master complex concepts, improve their grades, and prepare for exams. Key Responsibilities - Provide personalized tutoring sessions in mathematics, with core competency in Algebra, Algebra 2/Trigonometry, Calculus, and Statistics at the high school level (college-level experience is a plus!) - Develop and implement customized tutoring plans that cater to the specific needs and learning styles of each student. - Explain complex mathematical concepts in a clear and accessible manner, ensuring students gain a thorough understanding of the material. - Assist students with homework, problem sets, and exam preparation, including reviewing past exams and quizzes. Foster a positive and encouraging learning environment that motivates students to build confidence in their math skills. - Monitor student progress and provide regular feedback to students and parents, identifying areas for improvement and adjusting teaching strategies as needed. Stay current with advancements in math education and incorporate the latest teaching methods and resources. - Communicate effectively with students, parents, and AtomicMind staff to coordinate tutoring sessions and track academic progress. Qualifications - Currently attending or graduated from a Top 15 university with a Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Engineering, or a related field. - Proven experience tutoring or teaching mathematics at the high school level, with demonstrated proficiency in Algebra, Algebra 2/Trigonometry, Calculus, and Statistics. - Strong command of mathematical concepts and the ability to explain them clearly and effectively. - Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills. - Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for helping students learn and succeed. - Ability to adapt teaching methods to meet the unique needs of individual students. Preferred Qualifications - Experience tutoring college-level mathematics is a strong plus! - Familiarity with standardized tests that include math components, such as the AP Calculus, AP Statistics, SAT, or ACT exams. - Previous experience working with students who have diverse learning needs. - Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
