IBM Power S822 – AIX LPAR Virtualization Setup (VIOS + HMC)

We have two IBM servers we need to set up as an AIX virtualization environment: IBM Power S822 – main host for AIX LPARs (POWER8) IBM System x3550 M4 – likely to be used for hosting virtual HMC The goal is: a working setup where we can create and manage multiple independent AIX virtual machines through an HMC console. What we need help with: Initial hardware assessment (firmware, adapters, current state) HMC setup (physical or virtual) VIOS installation and configuration Creating 2–3 AIX LPARs with networking and storage Basic documentation and knowledge transfer Important constraints you must address in your proposal: We do not have installation media for HMC or VIOS — please explain how you would handle this. We have installation ISOs for AIX. No active IBM support contract — please clarify what this means for the project We are not familiar with this architecture, so we rely on you to propose the right approach. Howerver, we have extensive knowledge of system administration and virtualization. Looking for: Someone with hands-on IBM Power / VIOS / AIX experience. IBM Business Partner status is a plus. Please include a rough timeline and cost estimate in your proposal.
