Summary

We are looking for a U.S. immigration attorney or experienced immigration paralegal to help us review visa options for two international contractors who may join our company in Puerto Rico. We are a small design-build company expanding into Puerto Rico and need practical, low-cost guidance before deciding how to proceed. Candidate 1 is based in Mexico and may be easier to evaluate. She supports us as an architect, BIM manager, and project manager. We would like to understand whether she may qualify under the USMCA/TN professional visa category or another appropriate work visa option. Candidate 2 is based in Portugal and supports operations. Her path may be less clear, so we need help understanding what realistic visa options may exist for an operations manager or similar role. Both have only worked with us as contractors so far. We are not looking to overcomplicate this. We need someone knowledgeable who can review the facts, explain the realistic options, identify the easiest compliant path, and help us understand likely cost, timing, and difficulty. Ideal candidate: Experienced with U.S. work visas Familiar with TN/USMCA visa categories for Mexican professionals Able to evaluate visa options for non-Mexican candidates as well Practical, clear, and cost-conscious Comfortable advising a small company before we commit to a full filing Please apply with a short note explaining your immigration experience, whether you have handled TN/USMCA cases, and how you would approach an initial strategy review for both candidates.
