Import & Launch Partner — Canned Beverage from Vietnam into Canada (CFIA/SFCR, Logistics, Retail)

Summary

About us We’re a premium ready-to-drink canned matcha beverage brand preparing to enter the Canadian market. Production is handled by a co-packer in Vietnam. Corporate entity, trademark filing, branding, and packaging design are already in place — we now need a partner who can get product landed, compliant, and on shelf. What we need help with • Canadian import requirements: SFCR licence, Safe Food for Canadians regulations, preventive control plan, and any import permits or Health Canada considerations for a tea-based RTD • Label compliance review: bilingual English/French, Nutrition Facts table, ingredient declarations, allergens, country of origin, deposit/recycling marks by province • Customs and tariffs: HS classification, duty and tax exposure, CUSMA vs. Vietnam origin implications, CBSA documentation • Freight and logistics: FOB Vietnam to Canadian port, customs broker and 3PL selection, cold/ambient warehousing, landed-cost modelling • Go-to-market support: distributor and broker introductions, listing requirements for grocery, convenience, and specialty retail Ideal partner • Direct experience importing food or beverage into Canada, ideally from Asia • Working knowledge of CFIA/SFCR and Canadian labelling law (not just theory — you’ve done it) • Existing relationships with Canadian customs brokers, 3PLs, distributors, or retail buyers • Clear communicator who can flag problems early and work independently Engagement Starting with a paid scoping engagement to map the compliance and logistics path and identify gaps. Strong performance leads to an ongoing role through launch and beyond. Open to hourly or fixed-fee — tell us how you prefer to work. To apply, please include 1. Two examples of beverage or food products you’ve brought into Canada, including origin country and channel 2. Your read on the biggest risk in a Vietnam-to-Canada RTD launch 3. Your availability and rate structure Applications without specific Canadian import experience won’t be considered.
