# Inbound Shipment Coordinator (Imports + Carrier Setup + Customer Communication) ## Overview We're looking for an experienced Inbound Shipment Coordinator to manage and track our incoming shipments from start to finish. You'll be responsible for setting up shipments across multiple carriers, coordinating imports, and keeping our customers and internal team informed every step of the way. This is a detail-heavy role where accuracy, follow-through, and clear communication matter. If you've booked freight, wrangled tracking numbers across carrier portals, and talked customers through a delayed shipment without breaking a sweat, we want to hear from you. ## What You'll Do - Set up and book shipments through FedEx, DHL, UPS, and LTL freight carriers - Coordinate inbound/import shipments, including international freight and customs documentation - Track shipments in transit, flag delays early, and proactively resolve issues with carriers - Communicate directly with customers and vendors regarding shipment status, timelines, and exceptions - Maintain accurate shipment records, tracking logs, and delivery confirmations - Compare carrier rates and recommend cost-effective shipping options when relevant - Coordinate with our internal team (operations, purchasing, warehouse) to keep everyone aligned ## What We're Looking For - Proven experience coordinating inbound shipments and imports - Hands-on experience booking and managing shipments via FedEx, DHL, and LTL freight - Familiarity with import processes and customs/freight documentation (BOL, commercial invoices, etc.) - Strong, professional written and verbal communication — you'll be customer-facing - Highly organized with sharp attention to detail; nothing falls through the cracks - Comfortable working independently and managing multiple shipments at once - Reliable and responsive during agreed working hours ## Nice to Have - Experience with TMS or shipping software - Experience negotiating freight rates with carriers - Customs brokerage or international logistics background Please include: 1.
