Industrial Designer for Wearable Medical Monitoring Band (Concept Phase)

Job Title: Industrial Designer / Wearable Product Designer – Serenity Care Band Project Type: Contract | Concept + Industrial Design Phase About Serenity Care Band: Serenity Care Band is an early-stage wearable monitoring platform being developed for elderly and disabled individuals in supervised care environments including adult day care, assisted living, and memory care. The vision is a low-profile wearable band inspired by a reinforced hospital wristband and vintage fitness tracker form factor—not a traditional smartwatch. The system will ultimately integrate hardware, software, and AI-driven monitoring to improve safety, caregiver awareness, and family engagement. Planned Features: • GPS tracking • LTE connectivity • Heart rate monitoring • SpO₂ (oxygen) monitoring • Temperature sensing • Motion/fall detection • Staff and family monitoring platform • Tamper-resistant removal system Current Stage: Electronics architecture selection is in progress. Patent pending. We are seeking support for concept and industrial design only at this stage. Scope of Work: • Develop wearable form factor concepts • Design exterior enclosure concepts • Explore tamper-resistant locking mechanisms • Evaluate comfort and ergonomics for elderly users • Develop charging concepts • Prepare preliminary direction for future electronics integration • Provide recommendations for design-for-manufacturing readiness Deliverables: • 2–3 wearable design concepts • Rendered product visuals • Preliminary enclosure direction • Material recommendations • Concept presentation package Preferred Experience: • Wearables • Medical devices • Consumer electronics • Industrial design • Product design for manufacturing • Hardware-integrated products Nice to Have: • Experience integrating third-party electronics modules • Knowledge of enclosure planning for sensors and connectivity Project Goal: Create the foundational physical design language and enclosure strategy for Serenity Care Band before detailed engineering and prototyping begin.
