About Industrial Channel Solutions Industrial Channel Solutions, LLC is a manufacturers’ representative agency serving the industrial market. We represent a select group of principals, connecting their product lines with the distributors, facilities, and end users who depend on them. Our work is built on professionalism, technical credibility, and long-term relationships with both the principals we represent and the customers we serve. We are committed to disciplined, process-driven selling and to representing our principals with integrity in every interaction. As we expand our outbound sales efforts, we are seeking a motivated individual to join us in developing new business opportunities on behalf of the principals we represent. Position Summary The Sales Development Representative is responsible for identifying and contacting prospective customers, qualifying interest, and scheduling qualified meetings for the Account Executive. The position focuses on the early stages of the sales process and does not include responsibility for closing sales. Because the Company represents multiple principals across varying product lines, the Sales Development Representative may be assigned to different product lines over time and is expected to become familiar with each assigned product and its target market. Primary Objectives • Generate a consistent flow of qualified meetings for the Account Executive across the principals’ product lines. • Build a measurable, well-documented pipeline of new business opportunities. • Protect the Account Executive’s time by advancing prospects that meet established qualification criteria. Essential Duties and Responsibilities • Conduct outbound telephone outreach to potential customers within the assigned product line. • Qualify prospective customers by understanding their business needs and challenges and determine whether the assigned product line offers genuine value to them. • Schedule qualified meetings for the Account Executive. • Develop and maintain working knowledge of the assigned principal’s product line and applicable markets. • Record all prospecting activity, call dispositions, and note accurately in the customer relationship management (CRM) system. • Maintain and manage assigned call lists and prospect data. • Conduct follow-up communications with prospective customers as required. • Meet established monthly targets for qualified meetings. • Always represent the Company and its principals in a professional manner. • Perform other related duties as assigned. Qualifications The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills, and abilities needed to perform this position effectively. • Demonstrated ability to conduct outbound business-to-business telephone communication. • Ability to learn and accurately represent technical and industrial product lines. • Effective verbal communication and active listening skills, with the ability to quickly understand a prospect’s situation and respect a busy decision-maker’s time. • Ability to work independently in a remote environment with minimal supervision. • Proficiency with basic computer applications and willingness to use a CRM and dialing software. • Reliable internet connection and a suitable, quiet work environment. Preferred Qualifications • Prior experience in sales development, inside sales, or telephone-based prospecting. • Prior experience in industrial sales, manufacturers’ representation, or a related business-to-business field. Ideal Candidate The ideal candidate is a self-directed, disciplined communicator who leads with the customer’s problems rather than a sales pitch. They are comfortable initiating conversations with busy decision-makers, quickly establishing relevance and credibility, and qualifying opportunities objectively. This individual keeps their approach simple and focused on the prospect’s priorities, respects the customer’s time, and measures success by qualified outcomes rather than activity alone. They are willing to learn new product lines, represent the Company and its principals with professionalism, and work independently toward agreed goals.
