Inside Sales Coordinator – Metal Buildings & Barndominiums | Inbound Leads & Follow-Up
Worldwide
About Us At Metal Building Resources and The BarndoVerse, we're modernizing how people buy metal buildings and barndominiums. Rather than relying on outdated construction sales processes, we've built AI-powered tools that help customers plan, estimate, understand costs, and confidently purchase the right metal building package. Our mission is simple: Serve first. Educate first. Earn trust first. Everything we do—from our Free Estimator to our Feasibility Study—is designed to remove uncertainty and help customers confidently purchase our core product: a metal building package. About the Role This is not a traditional sales role. It is not a customer service position. It is not an administrative assistant role. You will own customer momentum. Every day, new homeowners, owner-builders, and property owners contact us because they're interested in building a barndominium, shop, garage, or other metal building. Your responsibility is to make sure every qualified customer receives: A rapid response. Professional guidance. High-quality communication. Thorough qualification. Consistent follow-up. A clear next step. You'll prepare qualified customers for a closing conversation with the owner, who handles final pricing and building package sales. You won't be expected to negotiate pricing or close major sales. You will be responsible for ensuring no qualified customer falls through the cracks. Your Primary Mission Own customer momentum from first inquiry until a buying decision is made. That means: Respond quickly. Build trust. Qualify thoroughly. Use AI to answer questions and prepare preliminary estimates. Keep every qualified customer moving forward. Schedule qualified consultations. Follow up consistently after quotes are delivered. Maintain exceptional CRM discipline. Ensure every opportunity always has a documented next step. Our goal is simple: No customer should ever wonder what happens next. Responsibilities Customer Momentum Respond rapidly to inbound website leads, quote requests, estimator submissions, phone calls, emails, and referrals. Deliver an outstanding first impression. Build confidence and trust. Become the primary guide through the early stages of the buying process. Qualification Gather and document: Land status Project location Building size Intended use Budget Timeline Financing Readiness to move forward Determine whether the customer is ready for: Additional education A Feasibility Study A closing consultation AI-Assisted Customer Guidance Use our AI tools daily to: Generate preliminary estimates Explain building options Draft emails Answer high-level construction questions Summarize conversations Prepare follow-up Improve customer education Our AI performs much of the estimating work. Your job is to understand enough about metal buildings to confidently guide the conversation. Follow-Up & Pipeline Management This is the heart of the role. You will: Own all follow-up after initial conversations and quote delivery. Ensure every customer has a documented next step. Continue communicating until the customer: Purchases Chooses to wait Decides not to move forward Keep Follow Up Boss organized and current. Never allow a qualified opportunity to become stale. Internal Coordination Coordinate with the owner and internal team members by: Preparing customers for consultations Collecting missing information Organizing project notes Scheduling meetings Ensuring the owner has everything needed for a productive sales conversation Secondary Responsibilities When inbound lead volume allows: Respond to relevant comments or questions on social media. Direct people toward BarndoVerse resources. Identify potential opportunities. This is not a marketing or content creation role. What Success Looks Like Within your first 90 days you should be able to: Confidently discuss metal building projects. Use AI independently. Maintain excellent CRM discipline. Respond quickly to every lead. Qualify customers thoroughly. Prepare customers for productive consultations. Keep every opportunity moving. Own customer momentum without constant supervision Required Experience Metal building industry experience strongly preferred. Construction sales or construction customer service experience. Experience discussing building packages, garages, shops, post-frame, or steel buildings. Excellent communication skills. Strong organization. CRM experience. Comfortable using AI tools. Comfortable speaking with homeowners. Preferred Experience Follow Up Boss HubSpot Salesforce ChatGPT Claude Microsoft Copilot Residential construction Barndominiums Building materials This Is NOT the Right Fit If... You dislike follow-up. You wait for customers to contact you. You need reminders. You dislike documenting conversations. You aren't comfortable learning AI. You prefer creating social media content instead of talking with customers. You expect customers to buy after one conversation. You dislike phone conversations. You aren't naturally organized. Success Metrics Customer Momentum Average response time Percentage of leads contacted within target SLA Time to first conversation Qualification Complete qualification rate CRM completeness Accuracy of customer information Pipeline Health Qualified consultations scheduled No stale opportunities Follow-up completion Next-action completion CRM hygiene Customer Experience Professional communication Trust-building Responsiveness Customer satisfaction AI Utilization Effective AI usage Response quality Estimate preparation In your response: Describe your experience with metal buildings, post-frame buildings, garages, shops, or other construction-related products. Tell us about a time you followed up with a customer over an extended period before they made a buying decision. What was your process? Which CRM systems have you used? How do you ensure no opportunity falls through the cracks? Have you used AI tools such as ChatGPT, Claude, or Microsoft Copilot in your daily work? Give a few examples. A homeowner says, "I want to build a barndominium, but I don't know where to start." Walk us through how you would guide that conversation. This role is heavily focused on organization, communication, and follow-up—not hard-closing sales. Why does that type of role appeal to you? Are you willing to send a follow up video to us if you pass this first selection phase upon request?
