Interim Accountant (m/f/d) – Freelancer July - September (Remote)

We are looking for an experienced accountant for a two-month holiday cover from mid of July to mid of September. Do you work in a structured yet dynamic way, think entrepreneurially, and navigate the complexities of numbers with a sure eye for detail? Then we should get to know each other! ... Your tasks: - Ongoing financial accounting (accounts receivable, accounts payable, banks) - Support in preparing monthly and annual financial statements - Communication with tax advisors and authorities - Preparation of VAT returns - Proper filing and documentation of accounting processes What you bring: - Completed commercial training or comparable qualification - Experience in financial accounting, ideally with DATEV, Lexoffice, and similar tools - Independent and reliable work ethic - Confidentiality and a strong sense of responsibility - Experience working with digital tools and remote teams What we offer: - Flexible working hours and remote work options - An uncomplicated, appreciative team (100% remote) - Clearly defined processes and structured handover - Fair hourly compensation (20-30 euros) Requirements / Your Skills: - Previous Experience: You have at least 3 years of experience in accounting – ideally in an SME or agency environment, or as a freelancer. - Numerical Skills: You immediately recognize discrepancies, think analytically, and can find the common thread even in complex financial situations. - Diligence & Responsibility: You work in a structured and conscientious manner and don't rely on luck – but on your meticulously maintained accounts. - Self-Organization: You are organized, quickly learn new tools and topics – and if we asked you about the status of the Q2 VAT return at 3 a.m., you would have an answer (don't worry, we won't). - Mindset: You are eager to take on responsibility from the start, think proactively, and remain calm even when multiple deadlines are looming. - Languages: Your German is fluent, both spoken and written – and you can also easily handle emails to tax offices or international partners in English.
