Inventory Analyst

Schedule This is a full-time position working Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM Eastern Time. Candidates must be available to work within EST business hours regardless of location. End-of-month inventory counts require occasional extended hours — typically 1–2 late evenings per month. These are planned in advance and not ad hoc. About the Role We are looking for a detail-oriented Inventory Analyst to support day-to-day inventory operations across our multi-location retail environment. This is a hands-on, process-driven role — not a digital or ecommerce position. You will be the operational backbone for how product moves, gets counted, gets paid for, and gets tracked across locations. If you thrive on accuracy, catch discrepancies before they become problems, and like bringing order to complexity, this role is for you. What You'll Do Inventory Tracking & Data Management Maintain accurate inventory records across all locations using our POS and inventory management systems Perform routine data entry for product receipts, transfers, returns, and adjustments Conduct and support regular cycle counts and full physical inventory audits by location Identify and resolve discrepancies between system records and physical counts Shipment & Receiving Coordination Track inbound shipments from vendors and distributors; follow up on delays, shortages, and damaged goods Coordinate with location managers to confirm receipt of orders and flag variances Maintain shipment logs and ensure receiving documentation is complete and filed Invoice Matching & Pricing Review Match vendor invoices to purchase orders and receiving records (3-way match) Flag pricing discrepancies, quantity variances, and unauthorized charges for resolution Review vendor pricing against contracted rates; escalate inconsistencies to purchasing or finance Support month-end close by ensuring all received inventory is accurately invoiced and accrued Reporting & Analysis Generate weekly and monthly inventory reports by location: stock levels, shrinkage, turn rates, and overstock Identify slow-moving or excess inventory and surface recommendations to operations and buying teams Track vendor fill rates and on-time delivery performance
