Job Title: DCP Subtitle & Captioning Specialist (Festival-Compliant SMPTE/XML + Open Caption DCP) Job Description: We are looking for an experienced DCP Subtitle/Captioning Specialist to create and deliver: Festival-compliant Closed Captions for theatrical DCP using SMPTE/XML timed text A separate Open Caption (OCAP) DCP version with burned-in captions Project Requirements Work with existing theatrical DCP files Create accurate, properly synced captions/subtitles Deliver: SMPTE/XML timed text closed captions compatible with film festivals/theatrical screenings Separate OCAP DCP with permanently burned-in captions Ensure compatibility with standard theatrical playback systems Follow festival delivery standards and QC requirements Turnaround time: 3 business days Required Skills Strong experience with: DCP workflows SMPTE subtitle/caption standards XML timed text EasyDCP / DCP-o-matic / Clipster or similar tools Experience preparing deliverables for film festivals and theatrical screenings Ability to perform QC checks before final delivery To Apply Please include: Examples of previous DCP captioning/subtitling work Tools/software you use Your turnaround capability Your rate for: Closed Caption SMPTE/XML creation OCAP DCP creation Combined package pricing
