I'm an artist and teacher. I make articulated human figures (carved from wood, sculpted from clay), and I teach people to make their own, through an online school I run from my studio. About half my students start completely from scratch — everything I teach can be learned from zero. But these offers are easier to sell to people already drawn to the craft, especially carving: carving is a popular field, yet no one offers quite what I do, which means demand for my specific thing has to be created, not just captured.
