WHO WE ARE We are an established, profitable, fully remote software company behind a Windows-first desktop email client. We have grown for over a decade on word of mouth and a loyal user base, many of them long-time customers who bought a lifetime license years ago. We have just finished rebuilding the entire product from the ground up: one cross-platform codebase, a first-ever mobile app, and built-in AI. It is ready to become our main product. THE CHALLENGE This is not a new-feature launch, it is a generational relaunch. The new product has to fully replace the one most of our revenue depends on today, win over a base that is loyal but change-averse, and do it without repeating the friction a past major version created with some of our lifetime customers. Get it right and we step into a new era: cross-platform, mobile, AI, and eventually B2B. Get it wrong and we damage trust we spent years earning. WHAT WE HAVE, AND WHAT WE NEED We have a capable in-house team that executes well across email, paid, web, social and in-app. What we have never had is someone who has run many successful launches and can tell us what the right launch actually is, then conduct it end to end. We do not want our existing plan validated. We want your judgment and your experience. WHAT YOU WOULD OWN - Positioning and the story: one clear narrative out of a rebuild, AI, and a first mobile app. The headline, the audience, and what we deliberately leave out. - Naming: a new major version, a "next generation," or simply the same name. You make the call and defend it. - Pricing and packaging: the launch pricing model, how we retire an old lifetime-update offer gracefully, and whether the mobile app is free, paid, or a paid add-on. - Existing customers: how we move long-time and lifetime users onto the new product without making them feel pushed or charged twice. - Channels and motion: whether we do a landing page, Product Hunt, press, in-app, email to the base, paid, or some smarter combination, for an audience of practical, Windows-first professionals. - The integrated plan: a sequenced launch plan across all channels, with clear owners and go or no-go gates, which you then help us run. HOW IT WORKS We start with a short, paid strategy review. You take our full context (we hand you a detailed brief and product access) and turn it into the launch strategy and an integrated plan: the decisions above, what you would do, how you would organize and sequence it, and how you would run it. If it goes well, we extend into hands-on launch leadership through the public launch, working alongside our team. YOU ARE A STRONG FIT IF YOU HAVE - Personally led multiple successful launches, ideally version transitions or relaunches of paid consumer or prosumer software with a freemium-to-paid model. - Strength on positioning and pricing or packaging that matches your strength on coordinating cross-channel execution. - Comfort in a small, fast, AI-native team, where you will have real autonomy and real accountability. - Measurable outcomes and references you can point to, not just decks. PROBABLY NOT A FIT IF You are primarily a PR or press-release specialist, focused on enterprise go-to-market, or a single-channel specialist. LOGISTICS Remote, contract, paid. We start with a fixed-price strategy review and would like to begin soon, with a few hours of daily overlap with European working hours for live working sessions.
