Title: Lead Generation & BD Executive - Private AI for Healthcare, Pharma & Biotech Company Overview We operate an AI deployment studio specializing in the life sciences sector, including biotech, pharmaceuticals, diagnostic labs, CROs, and healthcare organizations. We engineer private, secure AI copilots and workflow automations tailored for internal SOPs, scientific research, regulatory compliance, and medical data. Our signature offering is a targeted 4-week AI pilot focused on a specific enterprise workflow. Examples include: - Internal RAG systems with full access control, audit trails, and citation capabilities - Copilots for medical affairs and drug screening/organoid data - AI assistants for regulatory, quality, and scientific document search - Automation for healthcare operations The Role We are seeking a sophisticated, client-facing Business Development and Outbound Sales Lead. This is fundamentally not a high-volume cold-calling position. We need a strategic partner capable of understanding the nuances of the healthcare and AI sectors to craft highly personalized outreach and engage credibly with C-level executives and technical founders. Core Responsibilities - Research and map target accounts across the life sciences and healthcare landscape. - Identify key decision-makers (e.g., Head of R&D, CTO, Head of Regulatory/QA, Head of Medical Affairs, CEO). - Build, maintain, and manage a clean prospect database/CRM. - Draft highly tailored, compliant outreach messages (sent strictly via approved channels after the Upwork contract is active). - Execute professional follow-ups without resorting to spam tactics. - Secure qualified discovery calls. - Attend select meetings to take structured notes and assist with pre-call briefs and post-call follow-ups. - Collaborate with our engineering team to translate client pain points into actionable pilot proposals. - Maintain clear metrics on outreach volume, response rates, and pipeline health. Ideal Candidate Profile You should have proven experience in B2B SaaS, healthcare tech, pharma/CRO BD, enterprise software, or AI consulting sales. While you do not need to be an engineer, you must be capable of confidently discussing concepts like RAG, private AI, data security, and human-in-the-loop workflows. Mandatory Traits: - Exceptional English writing skills for executive-level communication. - Ability to rapidly grasp technical concepts. - Strategic mindset for account targeting (strictly avoiding generic, mass-spam approaches). - Highly organized with pipeline management. - Ability to work autonomously and provide clear progress reports. Bonus Points For: - An established network within life sciences, CROs, or healthcare. - Prior experience selling into highly regulated industries. - Proficiency with tools like Apollo, Clay, HubSpot, Instantly, Smartlead, or Sales Navigator. - Fluency in Korean is a distinct advantage, though entirely optional. Weekly Expectations & Approach This role will begin part-time, requiring approximately 10 to 20 hours weekly. Typical weekly objectives: - 50 to 150 thoroughly researched prospects. - 30 to 100 highly personalized outreach messages. - Consistent follow-ups with existing prospects. - 2 to 5 qualified meetings booked (driven by targeting quality). We strictly prioritize quality over volume. All outreach must be professional, highly targeted, and fully compliant with anti-spam laws. No mass messaging or aggressive scraping abuse will be tolerated. Compensation Structure We are open to either an hourly arrangement or a fixed-price monthly milestone via Upwork. - Base: Hourly rate or monthly fixed-price milestone. - Performance: Optional Upwork-funded bonuses for each qualified meeting booked. - Success: Optional Upwork-funded bonuses for any client that signs a paid pilot.
