Legal Research Assistant for Internship

Legal Research Assistant (6-Month Engagement) – Corporate Law / Commercial Law I am currently undertaking a 6-month legal internship and am looking for a reliable legal researcher to assist me whenever required during this period. Role: The work will primarily involve: * Conducting legal research on specific issues. * Finding relevant case laws/judgments for particular factual scenarios. * Preparing or assisting with research notes. * Verifying whether the judgments or authorities I have found are relevant and complete. * Suggesting additional case laws, statutory provisions, circulars, or legal authorities wherever necessary. * Reviewing my research and providing constructive inputs to improve its quality and accuracy. Important: * I will be doing the majority of the work myself. I am not looking for someone to complete my internship assignments from scratch. * The role is to provide research support, guidance, verification, and additional legal authorities whenever required. * Accuracy is extremely important. If you cite a judgment, it should be relevant, correctly interpreted, and from an authentic source. * Preference will be given to candidates with experience in Indian corporate law, commercial law, insolvency (IBC), arbitration, SEBI regulations, Companies Act, and general legal research. Availability Required: * This is not a full-time or fixed-hours engagement. * Some days there may be no work at all. * On other days, I may require assistance within 1 hour for urgent queries, while other assignments may have an end-of-day (EOD) deadline. * Therefore, I am looking for someone who is responsive and can communicate promptly whenever work is assigned. Workload: * The workload is expected to be light to moderate. * Since I will already be working on the assignments, most tasks will involve reviewing, refining, supplementing research, or locating additional authorities. Schedule: * My internship follows a Monday–Friday schedule. * Saturdays and Sundays are generally off, so work during weekends is typically not expected. If you have strong legal research skills, excellent knowledge of Indian case law databases, and can provide accurate and timely assistance, I’d be happy to work with you over the next six months.
