Legal Researcher – LegalEagle (Remote, Part-Time or Full-Time)

LegalEagle is looking for a legal researcher to help us investigate, analyze, and explain some of the biggest legal stories in the news. This is not a traditional law firm position. You won't be reviewing discovery or drafting motions. Instead, you'll help our team research lawsuits, executive actions, Supreme Court decisions, criminal prosecutions, constitutional disputes, congressional investigations, and other major legal controversies for an audience of millions. We're looking for someone who loves digging through primary sources, reading court opinions, spotting legal issues, and figuring out what is actually true. What You'll Do • Research breaking legal and political stories • Locate and analyze primary source materials, including (Court opinions, filings, briefs, and statutes) • Identify the key legal issues in a story • Research relevant case law and legal authorities • Prepare research memos and source packets • Verify factual claims and citations • Assist with drafting LegalEagle video scripts • Help separate legal reality from internet nonsense Ideal Background: We're less concerned with your exact credentials than your ability to do excellent research.
