Summary

emcee is looking for a Lifecycle Marketing Manager to own how we talk to our members and users across every touchpoint — app, desktop, and email. You’ll build out our full notification matrix from the ground up, define what gets sent, when, and through which channel, and then bring those notifications to life in Klaviyo, including hand-coding HTML/CSS templates when the drag-and-drop builder isn’t enough. This is a hands-on, build-and-ship role for someone who thinks in flows and funnels but is equally comfortable in the weeds of an email template. Own and maintain emcee’s end-to-end notification matrix — mapping every trigger, audience, channel (push, in-app, email, SMS), and cadence across app and desktop. Design, build, and QA lifecycle and triggered campaigns in Klaviyo, from welcome and onboarding flows to re-engagement, renewal, and win-back sequences. Write and edit custom HTML/CSS for Klaviyo email templates to ensure every send is responsive, on-brand, and renders cleanly across clients. Partner with product and engineering to wire up event tracking and triggers (e.g. membership status changes, deal/event activity, edits activity) feeding into Klaviyo. Segment audiences to keep messaging relevant and avoid notification fatigue. Run A/B tests on subject lines, send times, content, and cadence; report out on opens, CTR, conversion, and retention impact. Manage the notification calendar across teams so messages don’t collide or over-send to the same audience. Maintain compliance with email/SMS regulations (CAN-SPAM, TCPA) and keep unsubscribe/preference management clean. Collaborate with the creative team to keep templates visually on-brand as emcee’s design system evolves.
