Lighting Design Consultant (Short-Term Project with Ongoing Opportunity)

We are looking for an experienced Lighting Design Consultant to review a proposed fixture replacement plan for a residential project and provide professional guidance. Project Overview We have three existing light fixtures that need to be replaced with lower-flicker alternatives while maintaining the existing wiring and preserving the overall aesthetic as much as possible. The fixtures include: - 3 ft surface linear LED fixture (2700K) - 8 ft surface linear LED fixture (2700K) - 4-inch round surface downlight (2700K, dimmed) We have already identified several replacement options and need an experienced lighting designer to review them. Scope of Work - Review the proposed replacement fixtures. - Confirm whether they are suitable direct replacements. - Evaluate whether the proposed fixtures are genuinely low flicker. - Assess compatibility with the existing lighting setup and controls. - Identify any potential issues or additional considerations. - Recommend alternative fixtures if appropriate. Requirements - Professional experience in architectural or residential lighting design. - Strong knowledge of flicker-free / low-flicker LED lighting and driver performance. - Experience working with Lutron lighting control systems, including dimming compatibility. - Relevant lighting qualification, certification, or formal education (e.g., lighting design, electrical engineering, architecture, or a related field). - Ability to review lighting specifications and provide practical, technically sound recommendations. - Excellent communication skills. Project Details - Budget: $150+ - Deadline: The project must be completed within 48 hours from accepting the job. - Project materials, including fixture specifications and proposed replacement options, will be provided upon hiring.
