Local Business Research & Phone Verification Assistant – USA Remote

We are looking for a U.S.-based freelancer to assist with local business research and phone verification. You will contact assigned businesses, ask a short set of research questions, collect accurate information, and provide a concise report after each call. Responsibilities Call assigned businesses using the provided contact information. Follow the research questions and instructions. Verify services and service areas. Check availability and scheduling procedures. Ask about estimates and general pricing when appropriate. Record the representative’s answers accurately. Provide feedback on the overall customer-service experience. Submit a brief report after each completed assignment. Requirements Must be located in the United States. Excellent spoken English. Professional phone communication. Comfortable making outbound calls. Reliable and detail-oriented. Able to follow instructions carefully. Regular mobile number required. Virtual/VoIP numbers are not accepted. Experience with market research, customer-service calls, phone surveys, business verification, or mystery shopping is a plus. Compensation Hourly Upwork contract. Approximately 5–10 hours per week initially. Flexible schedule. Ongoing assignments available based on project volume and performance.
