Localization Testing for Japanese Speakers (Japan)

This opportunity is part of a trusted partnership between Testlio, a global testing and user research company and our client, a globally known live streaming marketplace. Testlio specializes in helping leading brands understand how people use their products through feedback from real users. Why You Are Here As a native Japanese speaker, we'd like to collaborate on testing our client's app. More specifically, we're looking for experienced localization testers located in Japan. As a Localization Tester, you will evaluate the UI/UX of the app in your native language, focusing on text strings, on-screen elements, and overall user experience. Your main tasks will include identifying missing or broken translations and observing how the app functions in your language, ensuring the best possible experience for users. Requirements: You will be asked to use one of our own devices to test the app. You need to have at least one of these devices: - iOS device (iOS 18 or higher) - Android device (Android 15 or higher) - Web browser (desktop/laptop) What to Expect How to access testing materials In order to access the testing materials and to keep in touch with the testing team during testing, you will be required to create an account on our website, Testlio. This takes approximately 30 minutes and will be paid. Once the contract is initiated, we will provide step-by-step instructions. - Language: English (to communicate with the team) & Japanese Language (to test the app). - Duration: We will test the app on a weekly basis. We will have work tasks of 60 - 90 minutes per device. If you have more than one device available we will be able to assign you more work. What Happens Next - You'll need to answer a few initial questions as part of your Upwork proposal bid - To further ensure that you're a good fit for this study, we'll expand the questions via messages. - If selected, you’ll be asked to first create an account on our Platform, Testlio. This is where the task will be assigned to you. Account creation will last approximately 30 minutes. Your information will be used only for research purposes and handled according to GDPR standards. All responses are stored securely and shared only with Testlio and our client.
