Job Title: Shopify Developer Job Type: Full-time Job Overview We are looking for a highly skilled and motivated Shopify Developer to join our technical team. In this role, you will be responsible for building, customizing, and maintaining our e-commerce storefronts on the Shopify platform. You will work closely with our UI/UX designers, marketing team, and project managers to create highly responsive, conversion-optimized, and visually appealing e-commerce experiences. Key Responsibilities Theme Development & Customization: Develop, customize, and maintain Shopify themes using Liquid, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. Feature Implementation: Translate UI/UX design wireframes into high-quality, responsive, and interactive code. App Integration: Install, configure, and customize third-party Shopify apps. Develop custom public or custom apps when standard solutions do not meet business requirements. Performance Optimization: Optimize website speed, performance, and mobile responsiveness to ensure a seamless shopping experience and improve core web vitals. API & Integrations: Integrate Shopify with external systems, ERPs, CRMs, and payment gateways using Shopify REST and GraphQL APIs. Maintenance & Troubleshooting: Conduct thorough cross-browser and cross-device testing. Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve bugs and platform issues promptly. Collaboration: Work cross-functionally with the marketing and operations teams to implement technical SEO best practices, tracking scripts (Google Tag Manager, Meta Pixel), and promotional features. Requirements & Qualifications Experience: Minimum of 2–4 years of proven experience in Shopify development (Shopify Plus experience is a strong advantage). Core Technical Skills: Deep understanding of the Shopify Liquid templating language. Strong proficiency in web fundamentals: HTML5, CSS3 (Sass/SCSS), and modern JavaScript (ES6+). Experience with the Shopify Storefront API and Admin API (REST & GraphQL). Proficiency with modern development tools, including Shopify CLI, Theme Check, and version control (Git/GitHub). Architecture & Best Practices: Strong understanding of responsive web design principles and mobile-first development. Knowledge of e-commerce best practices, web accessibility (WCAG), and technical SEO. Soft Skills: Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders. Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Nice to Have Experience with Headless Commerce architecture (Shopify Hydrogen, Oxygen, React.js, Next.js). Familiarity with building custom Shopify Apps using Node.js, Ruby on Rails, or Python. Experience working in an Agile/Scrum environment. Knowledge of UI/UX design tools such as Figma or Adobe XD.
