Summary

We need a complete Manual J load calculation, Manual S equipment selection, and Manual D duct design package for a mechanical permit revision in the City of Phoenix, AZ, plus a stamped mechanical plan sheet from an **Arizona-licensed PE** (Arizona Board of Technical Registration). **Project scope:** - Detached single-family residential units, ~1,800 sq ft each - Replacing an originally-specified 5-ton central AC system with two ducted mini split heat pump units per home - This is a revision to an already-permitted project, submitted through Phoenix's KIVA portal, reviewed against the adopted International Mechanical Code (IMC) and International Residential Code (IRC) with Phoenix local amendments - Manufacturer equipment specs and capacity data will be provided (Photon ducted mini split units) **Deliverables:** 1. Manual J load calculation for the 1,800 sq ft unit (Wrightsoft, Cool Calc, or equivalent ACCA-approved software) 2. Manual S equipment selection confirming the two mini split units meet the Manual J load at Phoenix design conditions (99% heating / 1% cooling design temps) — using de-rated capacity at design temp, not nameplate rating 3. Manual D duct design confirming static pressure and airflow compatibility with mini split air handlers if existing ductwork is reused/modified 4. Revised mechanical plan sheet showing equipment location, refrigerant line routing, and condensate management, stamped by an Arizona-licensed PE, tied to the original permit number **Requirements:** - Proven experience with residential Manual J/S/D calculations, ideally with mini split / ducted heat pump retrofit projects specifically (not just central air) - Must confirm your stamping PE holds an active Arizona license (or you must be one) — out-of-state stamps without AZ reciprocity will not be accepted by Phoenix Development Services - Experience with Phoenix, AZ permit resubmittals a strong plus - Portfolio/references showing prior permit-accepted work required
