Mechanical Engineer for Automotive Connector Design

We need an individual mechanical engineer with proven experience in: Automotive or industrial connector design Injection-molded plastic housings Terminal retention and secondary locking Contact anti-rotation and push-back prevention GD&T and tolerance stack-up Vibration, impact, temperature, and contamination resistance You will design a production-ready seven-contact insert for an existing housing, including the molded carrier, contact retention, rear termination, material selection, DFM, drawings, tolerance analysis, and validation plan. Required Deliverables Native CAD and STEP files Manufacturing drawings Contact and material specifications Tolerance-stack analysis Injection-molding DFM BOM and validation plan To Apply Provide a short recording showing: A relevant native CAD model The feature tree One isolated metal terminal The feature that locks it into the plastic housing How rotation and push-back are prevented Do not apply with generic claims, renderings, imported STEP files, or unrelated CAD work. Agencies, teams, intermediaries, and candidates without verifiable connector-retention experience will be rejected.
