About us We are Uncle Wiener's Wholesale, a family-owned, Canadian-owned retail chain founded in 2016 and based in Edmonton, Alberta. We sell tools, trailers, outdoor and farm gear, and everyday shop supplies to contractors, farmers, tradespeople, and DIYers across Western Canada, plus a growing online store. We have over 20 locations and we are scaling fast. This role supports our Marketing Lead directly. You would be the right hand to the person running marketing for the whole company, so you get a front-row seat to how a real growth operation runs. The role We are looking for a marketing generalist who can wear a lot of hats and switch between them quickly. This is an assistant role, so you are helping execute, organize, and report, not running strategy on your own. If you like variety and you like getting things done, you will fit right in. We start everyone on a limited part-time contract. If we work well together and the quality is there, we move you to full-time hours. We would rather build a long-term relationship than churn through people, so we are looking for someone who wants to stick around and grow with us. What you would help with This is a true generalist seat. On any given week you might touch: PPC (Google Ads, Meta Ads, TikTok Ads): building, monitoring, and optimizing campaigns Social media management: scheduling, posting, community responses Social ads and creative posts: assembling and publishing ad content Marketing operations: keeping campaigns, assets, and workflows organized Data management: keeping feeds, sheets, and records clean and current Reporting: pulling numbers and building simple, clear performance reports Lead generation: research, list building, outreach support Brand management: keeping our look, voice, and assets consistent everywhere You will not be expected to be a world-class expert in all of these on day one. You will be expected to learn fast, ask good questions, and own the tasks handed to you. What we need from you Extremely technology savvy. This is critical. You pick up new tools fast, you are comfortable across ad platforms, spreadsheets, dashboards, schedulers, and AI tools, and you do not get stuck when something is unfamiliar. If you need step-by-step hand-holding for every new platform, this is not the right fit. Strong written English and clear communication Organized, reliable, and detail-oriented (we notice the small stuff) Self-starter who can run with a task once it is explained Comfortable working with North American business hours Bonus points if you have hands-on experience with Google Ads, Meta Business Suite, Google Analytics, Shopify, Google Sheets, and AI tools for content and reporting. Hours and availability You need to be available for at least 5 hours per day that fall between 8:00 AM and 6:00 PM Mountain Time (MST), so we can overlap and work together in real time. Please confirm in your proposal that this works for your schedule. Rate 8 to 12 USD per hour, based on your experience and skill level. Be honest about where you land and why.
