Summary

Marketing Operations Manager: Content & Social (Part-Time) Rogue Finance | ~20 hrs/week (growing) | US-hours overlap required | Long-term About us Rogue Finance is a fast-growing personal-finance brand built around our founder, Andy Hoffman. We publish daily short-form content (Instagram reels, stories, carousels), run biweekly webinars, and drive booked calls through organic and paid social. We're scaling fast and investing heavily in acquisition. We already have the pieces: a designer, a video editor, posting VAs, a media buyer, and a founder who's the face. What we don't have is one person who owns the machine and makes it run on time without a founder babysitting it. That's this role. The role in one line You are the operations manager for our content and social. You own the calendar, the production pipeline, and the reporting, and you're the person our designer, editor, and posting VAs answer to on delivery. Things ship on time because you own that they do. What you'll own Run the content operation (this is the core) Own the content calendar across platforms: what's planned, what's in production, what's scheduled, what's published. Be the single accountability point for delivery. Keep our designer (carousels/stories), video editor (reels), and posting VAs on schedule and unblocked. Chase what's missing before it's late. Escalate to the founders only when you truly need to. Make sure everything is published on time and correctly. You direct the posting VAs; you're the one who guarantees a story or carousel never quietly fails to go out again. Own production quality, not just that it ships Hold every asset to a real quality bar. A testimonial with no intro, no hook, and no closing CTA does not go out, full stop. Catching that before it publishes is your job. Write proper briefs for the editor: a hook in the first few seconds, a clear structure, and a CTA at the end, every time. Build repeatable templates and checklists (e.g. a standard testimonial structure: intro, story, result, CTA) so quality is defined and consistent, and feedback is about the standard, not personal taste. This is how "make it less boring" becomes "it's missing the CTA card, per the template." Own YouTube as a channel (lightly, for now) Our content already gets pushed to YouTube, but it's an afterthought (Shorts going up with junk file-name titles). Own the basics: proper titles, descriptions, thumbnails, end-screen CTAs, and repurposing our best short-form and webinar content. Keep the raw-content pipeline full Run the filming / batching schedule with the founder and hold him to it. He's the face and he's busy, so part of your job is managing up: chasing footage, protecting filming time on his calendar, and keeping him weeks ahead so editors never run dry, especially around his travel. You're comfortable pushing a founder, not just waiting on one. Maintain a clear brief-and-asset flow (Drive, Notion) so no one is ever waiting on "where's the file?" Own reporting & performance Build and maintain a simple, consistent performance dashboard: reach, views, engagement, saves, shares, follower growth, story drop-off, and booked calls. Report weekly on what's working and feed the numbers back to the design/content side so every new post is better than the last. (Right now this data doesn't get captured reliably, you'll fix that.) Turn wins into content We generate a constant stream of client wins and testimonials. Own the pipeline that turns those into social-proof content briefs (testimonial carousels, story social proof, ad material) for the design team to execute. Coordinate paid-social production Run the ad-creative production line: brief the editor, move creative through review (Frame.io), get founder approval, and hand approved assets to the media buyer / VAs on time. You are not buying media or managing budgets, our media buyer owns that. You make the production and handoff run like clockwork. Campaign & launch coordination Own the promo cadence around webinars and funnel launches (story sequences, countdowns, CTAs, reminder flows), coordinated with the team that executes them. Keep messaging, CTAs, and on-brand details consistent across everything that goes out. Contribute to content (a big plus, and a fast route to more hours/rate) Creative angles & hooks: you'll be closest to the performance data, so we want your ideas, propose the angles, hooks, and campaign concepts that the data says will work, not just manage other people's. Social copy: write or tighten on-brand captions, story text, and CTAs in the founder's voice, and give the design team clear copy direction. Email: draft webinar promo, funnel, and nurture emails in the founder's voice. This is currently an underserved channel, if you can write, there's real ownership here for the taking. (VSL and paid-ad scripts stay with the founder, his story, his voice.) Out of scope (so we're clear) Media buying / budget management (our media buyer owns it). Instagram DM inbox, comment replies, and community management (handled by a separate team). Hands-on video editing or design (you direct the specialists who do it). You're a fit if you have Proven experience managing a content/social operation: you've owned a calendar and held designers/editors/VAs to deadlines. This is the non-negotiable. You are relentlessly reliable and proactive. Nothing slips on your watch; you over-communicate status and chase problems before they land. You can manage up. You'll hold everyone accountable to the schedule, including the founder. You chase, you remind, and you don't quietly let a deadline slide because the person who missed it is senior to you. Comfort building and reading a performance dashboard: you can pull the right metrics and turn them into clear recommendations. Creative and video judgment: you know what makes a testimonial or reel actually convert (a hook, retention, a clear CTA), and you're comfortable giving editors direct, specific feedback and sending work back when it isn't good enough. Hands-on familiarity with the stack (or fast to learn): Instagram / Meta Business Suite, a social scheduler (Vista Social, Later, Metricool), Notion, Google Drive, Frame.io or similar review tools, ManyChat awareness. Genuinely strong written and spoken English and clear, calm communication with a team. A finance-compliance instinct: you understand a finance brand can't make income guarantees or unsubstantiated claims, and you keep content and pages clean. Nice to have (raise your rate) Experience managing remote contractors / VAs. Meta Ads Manager familiarity (sharper on the production side even without owning buying). Strong copywriting, especially email and short-form social: if you can write in our voice, you'll take on more and earn more, fast. A track record of creative ideas that performed (hooks, angles, campaigns you can point to). Basic Canva/CapCut to unblock small fixes yourself. Finance, coaching, or info-product / creator-brand experience. Logistics Hours: ~20 hrs/week (~80/month) to start, part-time, ongoing, with a clear path to full-time and to owning the whole marketing function. Rate: $25-35/hr, depending on experience. Timezone: meaningful daily overlap with US working hours is required, not flexible. Access: you'll operate our tools from day one; full account ownership follows a short trust period. How to apply Please don't send a generic proposal, we read for these four things: In 2-3 sentences, describe a content or social operation you managed. Who did you hold to deadlines, and what was the measurable result? How do you keep a multi-person content pipeline on schedule, and what tools do you use to track calendar + performance? What are your working hours in US Eastern time? Optional but encouraged: share a short writing sample or describe copy you've produced (an email, captions, or an ad angle). If you can write as well as organize, tell us. Applications that answer these go to the top of the pile.
