Mechanical Design Engineer / CAD Designer Needed for Innovative Golf Equipment Startup We are building StickSwap, a patent-pending modular junior golf club system that allows golf clubs to grow with young players through an interchangeable shaft and hosel adapter system. Our mission is to eliminate the need for parents to purchase new golf clubs every year while giving junior golfers properly fitted equipment at every stage of development. We have completed the product concept, design direction, and engineering vision. We are now looking for an experienced Mechanical Design Engineer / CAD Designer to transform our concepts into production-ready CAD models suitable for prototype manufacturing. This is not simply a rendering project. We are looking for someone who understands precision mechanical assemblies, manufacturability, tolerances, and product development. Project Scope The initial project includes: Design a proprietary interchangeable shaft-to-hosel adapter system Design a premium junior cavity-back 7-iron clubhead Create production-ready CAD assemblies Develop engineering drawings and exploded assembly views Recommend materials and manufacturing methods Review and optimize the design for CNC machining and production Future phases may include: Driver Fairway woods Hybrids Wedges Putter Complete junior product line Manufacturing support and design revisions Deliverables Required file formats: STEP (.STP) IGES (.IGS) STL DWG PDF engineering drawings Deliverables should include: Fully parametric 3D CAD models Exploded assemblies Manufacturing drawings Material recommendations Critical tolerances (GD&T where appropriate) Design for Manufacturing (DFM) recommendations Ideal Candidate We're looking for someone with experience in: Mechanical Engineering Product Development Industrial Design Precision Mechanical Assemblies CNC Machining Design for Manufacturing (DFM) SolidWorks, Fusion 360, Creo, CATIA, or Siemens NX Experience designing golf equipment, sporting goods, bicycle components, aerospace connectors, or other precision consumer products is a strong advantage. Successful candidates may continue working with us through prototype development, manufacturing support, product refinement, and future product launches.
