Mechanical Design Engineer — Small Aluminium Pressure Vessel (CAD + DFM, manufacturable)

Overview We need a production-intent CAD model of a small sealed aluminium pressure vessel — a compact, flat extruded body with internal channels and two welded end caps. This is a real manufacturable part, not a concept render. The part is already engineered and fully dimensioned — walls, webs, channel sizes, seal and weld geometry, and pressure duty are all specified. Your job is to model it correctly and hold the locked dimensions exactly. The brief explains why each feature is the way it is, so we'd also like your engineering eye on it: if something looks off, risky, or could be simpler or cheaper to make without compromising the design, flag it. Scope ~4 separate solid parts (extruded body, two welded caps, one internal tube) — distinct solids, watertight, no naked edges or self-intersections. Hold the specified walls, webs, and seal/weld geometry exactly; finalize the open detail choices (fillets, weld prep, slot approach) with sound DFM judgment. Deliver: STEP (AP242) + short 2D drawings (PDF) + editable native CAD file. Small part, but it's a leak-tight sealed vessel — the internal structure and seal surfaces are critical. You must have Strong parametric solid CAD (SolidWorks / Fusion 360 / Onshape / Creo / Inventor / NX). Proven design-for-manufacture experience — parts actually machined, extruded, or cast. Fluency with tolerances, fits/clearances, GD&T, ISO 2768. Clean STEP output and basic 2D drawings. Strongly preferred Pressure vessels, hydraulic/pneumatic, fluid containers, or aluminium extrusion design (multiport tubes, manifolds, thermal/HVAC parts).
