Mechanical Design Engineer for Industrial Washing System

Summary We're a US cleantech startup developing a commercial washing system for reusable HVAC air filters — think "dishwasher for air filters" in a cart/cabinet format. We need an experienced equipment design engineer to produce a professional concept design package: a 3D model with derived 2D general arrangement drawings and a process flow diagram. The package will be used to (1) brief an overseas equipment manufacturer and (2) support investor presentations. This is a concept/GA-level package, not full fabrication drawings. We have the process fully defined; you'll be translating a working specification into professional design documentation.Deliverables 3D concept model (SolidWorks or Fusion 360) of the complete system 2D general arrangement drawings: plan, elevation, and section views with overall dimensions, major component callouts, and material notes (PDF + DWG/DXF) Process flow diagram showing all wash stages, water path, and air path Two labeled isometric/rendered views suitable for presentation use Native source files + STEP export Ideal Experience Industrial equipment design: parts washers, CIP systems, food-processing wash-down equipment, ultrasonic cleaning tanks, or similar wet-process machinery Stainless steel sheet metal and welded frame design for fabrication Working knowledge of pumps, tanks, sparging/aeration, air knives, and drainage design Comfortable producing drawings an overseas fabricator can interpret without ambiguity Strong written English; responsive communication across time zones. Structure Fixed price preferred, milestone-based: Concept layout review (rough 3D + dimensions) — feedback round Refined 3D model review — feedback round Final drawing package delivery Signed NDA and IP assignment required before specification is shared. All work product is work-for-hire owned by our company.
