Mechanical Engineer – Fast-Actuating 90° Rotating Panel Mechanism (Aluminum)

I'm looking for an experienced mechanical engineer to design a fast-actuating rotating panel system from scratch. The system rotates an aluminum panel 90° (horizontal to vertical) in under 0.5 seconds, and resets automatically. Project Requirements: Aluminum construction (lightweight, corrosion-resistant) 90° rotation completed in ≤ 0.5 seconds Up to 100 actuation cycles per session Must withstand varied environments: indoor, outdoor, desert heat, and high humidity Powered at 24V DC Remote-controlled actuation (electrical signal trigger) What I need from you: Propose the best mechanism for achieving fast 90° rotation (spring-loaded, motorized, pneumatic, or other innovative solutions) Full mechanical design in SolidWorks or Fusion 360 Complete BOM with standard off-the-shelf components Motor/actuator specification and selection Assembly drawings ready for fabrication Important — I'm looking for someone who: Has hands-on experience with fast-actuating mechanisms Is familiar with modern motion solutions (aluminum extrusion profiles, linear rails, rotary actuators, etc.) Thinks creatively and doesn't just copy standard designs Can clearly explain their proposed mechanism before starting work How to apply: Don't just send a generic proposal.
