Mechanical Engineer for Agrotech

GreenSpire Farming Tech, S.L. is looking for a remote mechanical engineer for ongoing support in preliminary calculations, design review and mechanical validation of functional parts. Type: remote freelance/services contract. Initial commitment: 60 hours/month. Initial fee: $300 USD/month. Scalable to 80 hours/month and $400 USD/month based on workload, performance and continuity. Duration: ongoing collaboration as long as objectives and deliverables are met. Project: GreenSpire develops modular agrotech hardware for controlled environment agriculture. We need technical support to review parts, subassemblies, joints, stability, tolerances, materials and basic industrial design criteria. Tasks: Preliminary mechanical calculations for parts and subassemblies Review of loads, stiffness, thickness, joints, deformations and critical points CAD mechanical design support Review of parts designed for 3D printing and additive manufacturing Improvement proposals for strength, assembly, maintenance and manufacturing Technical checklists and validation sheets Clear documentation of mechanical risks and recommendations Weekly coordination with technical direction Requirements: Degree in mechanical, industrial, mechatronics, naval, aerospace engineering or similar Proficiency in 3D CAD: SolidWorks, Fusion 360, Inventor, Onshape, CATIA or similar Basic mechanical calculation skills: loads, moments, bending, buckling, joints, stiffness and safety factors FEA experience a plus: Ansys, SolidWorks Simulation, Inventor Nastran, Fusion Simulation or similar 3D printing, plastic parts, physical product or light machinery experience a plus Strong documentation skills, technical judgment and deadline compliance Portfolio or technical examples required Conditions: Paid technical test before starting NDA required Full IP and industrial property transfer of all deliverables to GreenSpire Progressive and fragmented access to technical information Continuity review at 30 and 90 days
