Mechanical Engineering Assessment Tester - Intermediate

Who we are: At Colare, we’re building a hiring platform that helps take the risk out of hiring engineers by testing them in ways that are actually relevant to the position they’re applying for. No more hiring the candidate that does best in their interviews to find out two months later that they’re not a good fit: One test, and you’ll know everything you need to know about the candidates applying. What we’re looking for: We’re looking for mechanical engineers to do an hour-long mock assessment. We want your feedback on the quality, accuracy, and difficulty of the questions, as well as your opinions on our platform. Your feedback will help us shape test questions that will be used to hire engineers in the future. Alongside the assessment itself, we will be collecting your feedback in a Google Form which you will fill out once you complete the assessment. Additionally, you may be asked to get on a call with a member of the team to discuss certain aspects of your feedback in more detail for an additional fee. Who we’re looking for: We’re looking for mechanical engineers with at least 3 years of experience, particularly those with experience with propulsion/rocket engineering. Similar experience in other fields is acceptable, but a lack of experience in that field may make the assessment harder for you. If you have read this, please use the word apple at the start of your proposal. You need to be comfortable with providing clear, actionable feedback we can use to make our platform better. If you feel something needs to be fixed or isn’t as good as it can be, we want to hear about it. What’s in it for you: Simple, straightforward work that you can complete in 3-4 hours. If we are satisfied with your work, we may offer you the chance to complete a second similar assessment by the end of the week. Additionally, the best-performing testers (in terms of feedback quality) will be offered the chance to work with us long-term.
