Meta Ads Specialist - Local Awareness Campaigns for a Food Brand (Ongoing)
Worldwide
About Us We're Epico, an Australian food brand producing authentic pinsa romana (Roman-style pizza/flatbread bases). Our product is sold through stockists - delis, grocers, and independent retailers across Australia. We already have an in-house person creating content and managing our Instagram and Facebook (posting, engagement, DMs). We now want to add paid advertising to drive awareness and pull-through at the stores that stock us. The Role We need a Meta ads specialist to set up, run, and optimise geo-targeted Facebook and Instagram ad campaigns that build local awareness around our stockist locations and send people to a "find your nearest stockist" page on our website. This is not a content-creation role - we produce our own creative. We need someone who lives in Ads Manager: structuring campaigns, building audiences, managing budget, and reporting honestly on what's working. What You'll Do Set up our Meta Business Manager, ad account, and pixel correctly (if not already done) Build geo-targeted campaigns around clusters of stockist locations Set up proper tracking: pixel, conversion events, and UTM links so we can measure clicks to our stockist page Test audiences, placements, and creative angles using the assets we supply Manage a monthly ad budget of roughly AUD $500-1,500 and recommend how to scale it Send a short monthly report: what you spent, what it drove, and what you'd change next What Success Looks Like Our product sells at the retailer's till, so we know last-click sales attribution isn't possible. We're being upfront about that. What we DO want to measure: Reach and frequency within our target stockist areas Cost per click to our stockist-locator page Engagement and growth that our content manager can see flow through Note to self: ask shortlisted applicants how they'd measure success given the stockist model - their answer is the real filter. A good one will talk about store-visit objectives, geo-lift, reach/frequency benchmarks and stockist-page traffic, not vanity metrics. You're a Good Fit If You Have run geo-targeted/local-awareness Meta campaigns before (ideally food, FMCG, hospitality or retail) Can show results from past accounts (screenshots or case studies) Understand the difference between awareness and conversion campaigns and won't promise direct-sales attribution we can't track Communicate clearly and report honestly, even when results are flat Are comfortable starting on a paid trial month before any ongoing commitment To Apply, Please Answer We sell through retail stockists, so the sale happens at the store's till, not online. How would you measure whether our ads are actually working? Briefly describe a local/geo-targeted Meta campaign you've run and the result. What starting monthly budget and campaign structure would you suggest for awareness around ~20-30 stockist locations across a few cities? Do you set up tracking (pixel, events, UTMs) yourself, or do you need a developer? Applicants who ignore these questions or send a generic template = auto-reject. Terms Engagement: 1-month paid trial, then ongoing monthly if it's working Budget: Management fee quoted by you, plus ~AUD $500-1,500/month ad spend (paid by us directly) Reporting: One short monthly report + a quick check-in Access: We'll add you to our Meta Business Manager - you won't need our login
