We need a Meta ads specialist to drive qualified leads and booked jobs for a plumbing & HVAC company, more calls that turn into real work, not just cheap form fills. We're an agency ourselves, and we're hiring an individual freelancer to join our team, not another agency or a team reselling work. Solo operators only. What You’ll Do - Plan, launch, manage, and scale Meta (Facebook + Instagram) lead-gen campaigns - Come up with the ad creative concepts and copy, hooks, angles, and offers that make a homeowner pick up the phone - Either hand our designer a clear, specific creative idea or produce the creative yourself using AI tools - Run A/B tests on angles, creative, audiences, and offers - Optimize daily for qualified leads and booked jobs, lead quality first, not just cheap clicks or junk form fills - Report results clearly and flag problems early Must-Have Skills - 3+ years running Meta lead-gen campaigns, with results you can show - Deep, current Meta Ads Manager knowledge, Advantage+, lead forms, learning phase, and the recent (2025-2026) changes - Proven ability to come up with ad creative ideas, not just run what’s handed to you - Strong direct-response copy instincts (the hook is everything) - Hands-on with AI tools to generate and iterate ad creative and copy - You think in lead gen (qualified leads, booked jobs), not ecommerce ROAS - Able to overlap U.S. Central business hours Bonus Points - Home-services experience (plumbing, HVAC, roofing, electrical) - You can produce finished ad creative yourself with AI (image and/or video) Who This Is Not For - Agencies or teams reselling work. We're an agency, we want an individual freelancer. You personally do the work, no subcontracting, no account managers, no handing it to a team. We work directly with you, every day, over Slack. - Ecommerce/ROAS specialists who don't think in lead gen. Home services lives or dies on the phone ringing, cheap clicks and junk form fills don't count. - Button-pushers who only run what's handed to them and can't come up with the creative idea themselves. To Apply, Read Carefully (We Filter Hard) 1. Start your proposal with this exact phrase: “Geek Powered is plumbing.” If it’s missing, we skip you. It tells us you actually read this. 2. Share 2-3 examples of Meta lead-gen ads or accounts you’ve run, with results, cost per lead, lead volume, what you scaled. Include at least one real Meta Ads Manager screenshot (redact whatever you need to, no stock dashboards). 3. Pitch 2-3 ad angles you’d test for a plumbing or HVAC company (a sentence or two each). This is how we see the way you think about creative. 4. Record a short (60-90 second) video (Loom or similar) introducing yourself and walking us through those angles, why each one would make a homeowner pick up the phone, and mention one way you used AI on a campaign in the last 30 days. This shows us how you think, and tells us your spoken English. 5. Bonus: attach actual ad creative (AI-made is great) to bring one of your angles to life. Not required, but it stands out. 6. Confirm your hours overlap U.S. Central time. We care about leads and creative ideas that convert, not awards or theory. If you’re a strong fit, we move fast: a short call, then a paid trial.
