Microsoft 365 Setup & Migration – Project Brief I’m looking for an experienced Microsoft 365 / cloud engineer to support a full setup and migration. This is a short-term engagement (1–2 days) to correctly configure a secure, production-ready environment. Objective Set up a complete Microsoft 365 environment and migrate existing email services from AWS to Microsoft, ensuring everything is secure, scalable, and ready for collaboration and AI tooling (Copilot, automation, etc.). Scope of Work 1. Tenant & Domain Setup - Configure Microsoft 365 tenant - Connect and verify domain - Update DNS records correctly 2. Email Migration (AWS → Microsoft 365) - Migrate existing email accounts from AWS - Number of mailboxes: under 10 (low volume) - Note: Only a small subset contains higher email volume; overall migration is lightweight - Ensure minimal downtime - Validate mailbox integrity post-migration 3. Email Authentication & Deliverability - Configure SPF, DKIM, DMARC - Ensure proper email deliverability and domain reputation 4. Security Configuration (Critical) - Enable Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) - Configure Conditional Access policies - Set up secure admin roles and permissions - Apply baseline security hardening best practices 5. Collaboration Tools Setup - Microsoft Teams (meetings and basic structure) - SharePoint (basic structure) - OneDrive (user storage setup) 6. Device & Mobile Setup - Ensure seamless setup on mobile devices (iOS/Android) - Outlook + Teams fully functional across devices 7. AI & Automation - Prepare environment for: - Microsoft Copilot - Power Automate 8. Deliverables - Fully configured Microsoft 365 environment - Successful email migration - Security baseline implemented - Documentation of: - Admin access - DNS configuration - Key settings 9. Important Constraints - This is a one-time setup engagement - No long-term access required after completion - All admin credentials must be handed over - Access must be removed post-delivery Experience Required - Proven Microsoft 365 / Azure / Entra ID experience - Strong understanding of email migration and DNS - Security-first mindset If this aligns, please confirm availability and approach.
