Microsoft GCC High Migration Expert (Teams, Exchange, SharePoint, Box) — Advisory Only

We are an MSSP company and are looking for a senior migration consultant who has personally led multiple commercial-to-GCC High migrations and can advise on one we’re about to run. This is an advisory role only — my team executes the migration. I need someone who’s been there, done it, and can tell me exactly how to do it right and what to watch out for. The environment: • Source: commercial Microsoft 365 + Box.com • Destination: Microsoft 365 GCC High • Workloads: Exchange mailboxes, Microsoft Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive • Box.com file migration into Microsoft 365 (large dataset, scope being refined) • ~50 users What I need from you: • A clear migration roadmap and sequencing plan (pre-stage, pilot, cutover, decommission) • Tool recommendations for each workload, with specific attention to what actually works into GCC High today (I’m aware some tools have GCC High limitations, so current, hands-on knowledge matters) • The pitfalls, gotchas, and things to plan around before we start — permissions, URL/link breakage, mailbox constraints, throughput, freeze windows, fidelity of versions/metadata, etc. • Guidance on the Box → Microsoft 365 portion specifically • Availability on-call/standby during execution to help troubleshoot if we hit issues You’re a strong fit if you: • Have personally executed commercial → GCC High migrations (not just commercial-to-commercial) • Know the GCC High / government cloud constraints firsthand • Can explain the “why” behind your recommendations, not just the steps • Are responsive and can jump on a call when we’re in a critical window To apply: Briefly describe a GCC High migration you led — the tools you used, the size, and one problem you ran into and how you solved it. I’ll prioritize applicants who show real GCC High experience over general M365 migration work.
