Mobile App Programmer (Prototype/MVP Development)

Project Overview We are seeking an experienced Mobile App Programmer to develop a prototype (MVP) of a mobile application using modern AI-assisted development tools. The objective is to quickly build a functional prototype that showcases the application's core features while maintaining a clean, intuitive, and visually appealing user experience. The ideal candidate is comfortable working in a fast-paced startup environment and can rapidly translate concepts into a working mobile application. Scope of Work The prototype should include the following core features: Landing Page Clean, modern landing page Simple navigation to the application's primary sections Interactive Map Interactive map with location-based functionality Display content relevant to the user's location Events Calendar Users should be able to: Browse events Create events Search for events The event discovery experience should support multiple filtering options, including: User-defined categories Group size Preferences or attributes Distance from the user's current location Shopping Section A dedicated section that allows users to discover businesses and retailers. Features include: Organized business categories Location-based recommendations Distance filtering Community Classifieds A marketplace/community section where users can: Create listings Browse listings Search listings The system should support multiple categories and allow for future expansion. Design Requirements The application should have: A clean, modern interface Minimalist design principles An uncluttered user experience Easy and intuitive navigation Mobile-first responsive design Desired Qualifications The ideal candidate should have: Proven experience developing mobile applications for iOS, Android, or cross-platform frameworks such as Flutter or React Native Experience building prototypes or MVPs with rapid development cycles Familiarity with AI-assisted coding and development tools to accelerate delivery Experience integrating maps, geolocation, search, filtering, and location-aware features Strong understanding of modern mobile UI/UX best practices Ability to independently solve problems and iterate quickly based on feedback Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate in an evolving product environment Project Objective The primary objective of this project is to develop a functional Minimum Viable Product (MVP) that showcases the application's core features and user experience. The prototype should be built efficiently using modern AI-assisted development tools where appropriate and be suitable for internal evaluation and iterative refinement. The expected deliverable is a working prototype that can be deployed through Apple TestFlight for testing and stakeholder review.
