Mobile Automation Engineer (iOS/Appium)

We're seeking an experienced Mobile Automation Engineer to build and deploy automation scripts for iOS processes on iPhone devices. You'll be working with physical iPhone hardware to automate workflows that require elevated system access. What You'll Do Design, develop, and maintain Appium-based automation frameworks for iOS Configure and manage WebDriverAgent on iPhone devices Automate interactions with system-level apps and processes (beyond standard sandboxed apps) Implement robust error handling, logging, and recovery mechanisms for device farm stability Optimize scripts for reliability and performance across multiple physical devices Troubleshoot automation challenges (detection bypasses, permission issues, signing conflicts) What We're Looking For Required: 3+ years of mobile test automation experience Proven expertise with Appium + XCUITest driver on real iOS devices (not just simulators) Hands-on experience with iOS devices - you understand palera1n) Solid understanding of iOS code signing, provisioning profiles, and certificate management Experience installing and configuring WebDriverAgent on physical hardware Proficiency in Python, JavaScript, or Java for automation scripting Familiarity with app decryption/repackaging workflows (Clutch, bfdecrypt, or similar) Bonus Points: Experience bypassing mechanisms (JB detection, SSL pinning) Knowledge of Frida, objection, or other runtime instrumentation tools Background in iOS security research or reverse engineering Experience with device farming or managing automation at scale (10+ devices) Understanding of TrollStore, sideloading, or alternative app installation methods The Setup You'll work with iPhones (we provide hardware specs or devices) macOS environment for building/signing (we provide remote Mac access or you use your own) Flexible hours, async communication via Slack/Discord To Apply Send your resume + a brief note on: Your experience with iOS automation specifically A project where you automated non-standard iOS apps or processes Your preferred stack (Python/js/Java) and why Rate: Competitive / negotiable based on experience
