Music Dataset Label Verification, Research Assistant

We are looking for someone with strong knowledge of music and musical terminology to help review and verify labeling of music datasets for a research project. This is a short-term, part-time contract (approximately 2 weeks, ~6 hours/day). Responsibilities - Review and validate existing music dataset labels - Ensure accuracy of musical descriptions (instrumentation, genre, timbre, production elements, etc.) - Correct or refine labels where needed - Maintain consistency across datasets Requirements - Strong understanding of music theory and terminology - Ability to describe music using accurate musical language (e.g., instrumentation, genre, texture, production techniques) - Fluent in English (reading and writing) - Attention to detail and consistency in annotation - Experience with music production, musicology, audio research, or related fields preferred - Background in music production, composition, sound design, or music research
