MySpendJournal – Usability Tester (U.S. Only)

Overview I'm looking for U.S.-based testers to evaluate the onboarding experience for MySpendJournal, a personal budgeting application. The goal is to provide honest, detailed feedback on how intuitive the app is for a first-time user. This is not a bug bounty or QA testing position—I'm interested in your first impressions and overall usability. Requirements • Must reside in the United States • Desktop or Android device • Android Version 11+ preferred (bonus available) • Good written English • Willing to provide thoughtful feedback Estimated Time 10-15 minutes Tasks Part 1 – Guided Tour • Register a new account • Complete the guided tour o Add one transaction o Review the transaction cards o Test importing a sample statement o Review the Transactions page o Review Spending Limits o Review Savings Goals o Review the Dashboard o Answer the guided tour review question • Verify the Tour Replay option in Feedback & Support Part 2 – Starter Budget • Delete transactions created from the tour • Run the Starter Budget (Side Menu) • Group transactions • Change the category order • Explore side menu features not included in the tour • Review subscription pricing and assess whether it feels appropriate Part 3 – Survey Complete the "Help Shape MySpendJournal" survey honestly. Deliverables Survey is in the Feedback & Support section of the app. Bonus Additional compensation is available for: • Testing on an Android phone (Version 11+) • Finding reproducible bugs Premium trial features are available during testing. Testing is allotted for seven days after you register. Email verification will be required for imports not initiated through the guided tour.
