Acoustic Simulation Engineer – NVH CAE Work Mode: Onsite Location: OH Employment Type: Contract (48+ Months) Position Overview We are seeking an experienced Acoustic Simulation Engineer to support automotive NVH CAE activities. The role will focus on acoustic analysis and simulation of vehicle components, including horns, warning/alert systems, and speakers, at both component and full-vehicle levels. Required Qualifications Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline 6+ years of experience in NVH CAE, with a strong focus on acoustics Solid understanding of acoustic and vibration principles Hands-on experience with: Pre-processing: ANSA, HMCFD Solvers: Nastran, OptiStruct, Actran, Nastran Post-processing: HyperView, MetaPost Working knowledge of LMS Test.Lab is preferred Experience with Sound Systems, such as Alarms, Speakers, Mic etc., within the Cabin/Interior Key Responsibilities Build and evaluate component-level and system-level acoustic simulation models Perform meshing, define boundary conditions, and execute CAE simulations Conduct SPL analysis for horns, alerts, speakers, and related automotive systems Perform frequency response and modal analysis Generate and evaluate near-field and far-field acoustic results Carry out Transfer Path Analysis (TPA) Perform sensitivity studies and assess potential design improvements Correlate CAE simulation results with physical test data Identify root causes of NVH concerns and recommend design solutions Additional Responsibilities Document simulation methodologies, assumptions, and analysis results Develop or support simulation automation using Python and MATLAB Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams and communicate technical findings effectively
