Native German Localization Specialist

We're looking for a native German speaker to help localize our ecommerce brand for the German market. This is NOT a simple translation job. We are looking for someone who understands German culture, shopping behavior, and marketing language. We don't want direct translations from DeepL or Google Translate—we want our website and advertisements to feel like they were originally written for German customers. This will begin as a project for our Germany launch but will become an ongoing role as we continue launching new products, updating landing pages, creating advertisements, email campaigns, and expanding our brand. Initial Project Localize the following: Homepage Product landing pages Product pages Checkout text (if needed) Legal pages (Privacy Policy, Terms, Shipping, Returns, etc.) FAQ sections Product descriptions Headlines Buttons / Call-to-Actions Popups Navigation/menu text Advertising Localization We also need our Meta advertising assets localized, including: Primary Text Headlines Descriptions Video text Image text Hooks CTAs The goal is for every advertisement to feel natural to a German audience—not simply translated. What We're Looking For Native German speaker (required) Fluent in English Experience localizing ecommerce brands Experience with Shopify is a plus Experience translating Meta/Facebook ads is a plus Understands conversion-focused copywriting Can suggest improvements rather than translating word-for-word Detail-oriented This Will Become an Ongoing Role We're building multiple brands and launching additional products over time, so we're looking for someone we can work with long-term.
