Native Italian Speakers (Italy) – Audio Recording

We are seeking native Italian speakers for a speech data collection project. Preference will be given to speakers currently residing in Italy. Project Overview • Record a total of 1,620 sentences. • Complete an initial set of 50 recordings for quality review. • Upon approval, continue with the remaining recordings. • Remote freelance project. • Android and iPhone users are welcome. Requirements • Native Italian speaker. • Currently residing in Italy or a Italian-speaking country. • Age 18+. • Ability to follow recording instructions carefully. Recording Conditions Participants will be assigned: Environment • Indoor or Outdoor Distance • 1 meter • 3 meters • 5 meters Direction / Angle • Front • Left • Right • Rear (Back) The assigned environment, distance, and angle must be followed during the initial 50 recordings. Once approved, the same setup must be maintained throughout the entire project (all 1,620 recordings). For example, if you are assigned Indoor + 3m + Left, you must keep the same environment, distance, and angle for the full project. Device Requirements For 3m and 5m recordings • Mobile phones • Tablets • Computers/Laptops • IPC devices are all acceptable. Scripts will be provided for these recordings. For 1m recordings • Recordings must be completed using our client application. • Scripts are accessible only through the application. • For Front-angle recordings, participants may hold the smartphone if maintaining the required 1-meter distance is practical. • For Left, Right, and Rear angles, participants must ensure the assigned 1-meter distance is maintained consistently throughout the session. Additional Notes • Recordings will be collected in real-world environments with natural background sounds rather than studio-silent conditions. • Detailed technical requirements and setup instructions will be provided to selected candidates.
