Native Puerto Rican Spanish Speaker — School Outreach

We are a small nonprofit dedicated to helping underprivileged children in Puerto Rico get a better education. We need one reliable person to contact public schools across the island — by phone and by email — to build a working relationship with a contact person at each school. This job is phone and email outreach. Most of it is calling people. If you are not comfortable and confident picking up the phone and speaking with strangers in Spanish, please do not apply — it is the heart of the work. What you will do: Work through a provided list of public high schools and universities across Puerto Rico in a systematic order Call AND email each school to find one willing contact person (principal, counselor, social worker, or teacher) Log every attempt in a simple tracking spreadsheet so we always know the status of each school Who we are looking for: Native Spanish speaker — from Puerto Rico strongly preferred Genuinely comfortable making phone calls, including to people you have never spoken with before Organized, persistent, and reliable — you follow through and keep clean records Dependable phone and internet connection The arrangement: $250 per month (USD) Rather than tracking hours, we give you a clear written list of work each month.
