Odoo Accountant / Functional Consultant for Canadian Import Distribution Company

We are a Canadian commercial foodservice equipment company implementing Odoo Enterprise as our ERP system. We have completed most of the initial setup ourselves and are looking for an experienced Odoo accountant / functional consultant to: -Review our current Odoo configuration before go-live -Identify any accounting or workflow issues -Train us on correct day-to-day processes -Provide ongoing bookkeeping and accounting support after implementation This is not a blank-slate implementation. We have already configured the system and need an experienced person to review, validate, and help us operate it correctly. Company Overview We are a Canadian importer and distributor of commercial foodservice equipment. Our business model includes: -Importing equipment from overseas suppliers -Receiving inventory into our warehouse -Serial number tracking -Landed cost accounting -Sales through retailers, dealers, marketplaces, and direct customers -Inventory-based accounting Initial Project Scope The first phase will be an Odoo implementation review. You will review: Accounting Chart of accounts Journals Taxes Fiscal positions Vendor bills Customer invoices Payment workflows Bank reconciliation Inventory valuation accounting Purchasing Purchase order workflow Vendor bill process Supplier deposits/prepayments Import purchasing workflow Inventory Inventory valuation Serial number tracking Receiving workflow Returns Inventory adjustments Landed costs Sales Customer setup Sales orders Delivery workflow Invoice process You will also walk us through practical workflows in Odoo, such as: Creating purchase orders Receiving inventory Entering vendor bills Processing supplier deposits Applying landed costs Reconciling payments Processing customer invoices Ongoing Responsibilities After implementation, we are looking for someone who can provide ongoing accounting support, including: Entering vendor bills Reviewing accounts payable Bank reconciliations Credit card reconciliations Journal entries Month-end closing support Financial statement review General bookkeeping Required Experience Must have: Odoo Online experience Odoo Accounting module experience Odoo Inventory experience Understanding of inventory valuation Understanding of landed costs Experience with vendor bills and customer invoices Strong accounting/bookkeeping background Preferred: Experience with import/distribution companies Experience with serial-number tracked inventory Canadian accounting experience GST/HST experience Important Questions When Applying Please answer these questions: How many Odoo implementations have you completed? Project Details Initial engagement: Approximately: 10-20 hours for review and training. Ongoing work: Approximately: 5-15 hours/month initially with potential to increase as the business grows.
