Hourly rate: $17–$20 USD, long-term stable partnership, 5% pay raise every 12 months Minimum weekly hours: 20+ hrs, flexible schedule, time zone compatible with China Job Responsibilities 1. Deliver live 1-on-1 or small-group math lessons entirely in fluent English. Cover KS3, IGCSE, A-Level Math & Further Math, and SAT Math syllabus. Guide students through Beast Academy and AOPS Prealgebra textbooks systematically. ​ 2. Apply inquiry-led, exploratory teaching methods. Prioritize conceptual understanding and logical deduction over memorized formulas, fixed question templates or mechanical drilling. When students hit roadblocks, prompt them with guiding questions instead of handing out full solutions directly. ​ 3. Provide post-class lesson summaries and personalized student feedback for every session, assign appropriate homework according to students’ current level, and complete thorough assignment grading after class. ​ 4. Draft tailored lesson plans, worksheets and revision resources aligned with CAIE, Edexcel and College Board official standards. ​ 5. Utilize Zoom, ClassIn, Desmos and other interactive digital tools to deliver engaging, structured online classes. Requirements Bachelor’s degree or higher in Mathematics, Applied Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Engineering or other quantitative-related majors. Minimum 2 years of formal teaching/tutoring experience for students following British/American international curricula. Hands-on experience with Beast Academy or AOPS learning systems is a strong bonus. Fully fluent oral and written English, confident delivering academic math lessons without communication barriers. Align with student-led exploratory education philosophy; reject cramming and rigid routine-based teaching. Patient enough to let students test ideas and work through problems independently. Reliable, committed to long-term collaboration (1 year or longer) with consistent weekly availability. Familiar with UK and US mainstream K-12 math frameworks; proven track record lifting students’ exam grades is preferred. Compensation & Benefits Base hourly pay: $17–20 USD, final rate set by teaching background, curriculum familiarity and trial lesson performance.
