Oracle Cloud (OCI) Infrastructure Engineer Needed for HA, DR, Load Balancer & Security Setup

Project Overview: We are seeking an expert Cloud Infrastructure Engineer with specialized, hands-on experience in Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) to design, deploy, and secure a highly available and resilient cloud environment. The ideal candidate will have strong system administration skills for both Linux and Windows servers, along with deep expertise in cloud networking, load balancing, security configurations, and robust Disaster Recovery (DR) strategies. Scope of Work & Responsibilities: 1. Server Provisioning & Configuration: Provision and configure Linux (e.g., Oracle Linux, Ubuntu) and Windows Server instances on OCI. Harden OS security, manage user permissions, and configure secure remote access (SSH keys for Linux, restricted IP access for Windows RDP). 2. High Availability (HA) & Load Balancing: Design and implement an HA architecture utilizing OCI Instance Pools across multiple Availability Domains (ADs) or Fault Domains to ensure zero downtime for local failures. Configure OCI Load Balancers (Public/Private), set up Backend Sets, and implement robust Health Checks to ensure traffic is only routed to healthy instances. 3. Disaster Recovery (DR) Architecture & Implementation: Design and configure a Cross-Region Disaster Recovery (DR) architecture to protect against catastrophic regional failures. Implement data and server replication strategies (e.g., OCI Block Volume Replication, OCI Full Stack Disaster Recovery service, or custom scripting for OS/DB replication). Define and achieve targeted RTO (Recovery Time Objective) and RPO (Recovery Point Objective). Create automated or semi-automated failover and failback procedures. Integrate DR failover with DNS routing policies (e.g., OCI DNS Traffic Management) to seamlessly redirect global traffic to the DR region when needed. 4. DNS Migration & Management: Migrate, configure, and manage DNS records (utilizing native OCI DNS service or integrating with external providers). Ensure proper routing, subdomain management, and configure health-check-based routing for seamless HA/DR failover. 5. Firewall & Network Security: Design and configure the Virtual Cloud Network (VCN), subnets, route tables, and internet gateways. Implement OCI-level network security using Security Lists and Network Security Groups (NSGs). Configure and manage OS-level firewalls (iptables/firewalld for Linux, Windows Defender Firewall) to restrict unauthorized access.
