# Original Digital SAT-Style Question Writer: Math and/or Reading & Writing ## Project Overview EdAstra, a U.S.-based college admissions consulting company, is seeking an experienced SAT tutor, educator, curriculum writer, or assessment item writer to create original Digital SAT-style practice questions. This is a paid pilot project with the opportunity for ongoing work creating a larger question bank. Applicants may specialize in: * Digital SAT Math * Digital SAT Reading and Writing * Both sections Please clearly state your area of expertise. ## Initial Pilot Create 25 original practice questions in your approved specialty. Each question must include: 1. Question or passage/stimulus 2. Answer choices, when applicable 3. Correct answer 4. Clear, student-friendly explanation 5. Content domain and tested skill 6. Difficulty level: Easy, Medium, or Hard 7. Estimated solving time 8. Any necessary chart, table, equation, or supporting material For multiple-choice questions, incorrect choices should be plausible and reflect common student mistakes. ## Content Areas ### Reading and Writing Questions may cover: * Information and Ideas * Craft and Structure * Expression of Ideas * Standard English Conventions Reading passages must be newly written, public-domain, or properly licensed. Any external source must be identified. ### Math Questions may cover: * Algebra * Advanced Math * Problem-Solving and Data Analysis * Geometry and Trigonometry Questions should include an appropriate mix of multiple-choice and student-produced response items. ## Originality and Intellectual Property Requirements All work must be created specifically for EdAstra and must be entirely original. The contractor may not: * Copy, lightly rewrite, paraphrase, or adapt questions from College Board, Khan Academy, Bluebook, commercial test-prep books, websites, question banks, or other copyrighted sources * Upload official College Board questions or materials into an AI tool * Submit bulk, unreviewed AI-generated content * Reuse questions previously sold or delivered to another client Any use of AI must be disclosed. Every question must be independently checked by the contractor for accuracy, originality, difficulty, and educational quality. Upon payment, all rights, title, and interest in the completed materials will belong exclusively to EdAstra LLC. The work will be treated as specially commissioned work made for hire to the extent permitted by law. To the extent it does not qualify as work made for hire, the contractor assigns all worldwide intellectual-property rights in the work to EdAstra LLC. The selected contractor will be required to sign a short confidentiality and intellectual-property agreement before beginning. ## Required Qualifications * Experience with the current Digital SAT format * Strong command of SAT Math and/or Reading and Writing * Experience in SAT tutoring, curriculum development, assessment writing, teaching, or educational content creation * Ability to create accurate and appropriately challenging questions * Excellent written English * Strong attention to detail and deadlines A high SAT score is helpful but not required if you have substantial teaching or item-writing experience. ## Deliverable Format Questions should be delivered in Google Sheets or Excel using the following columns: * Question ID * Section * Content domain * Tested skill * Difficulty * Passage or stimulus * Question * Answer choice A * Answer choice B * Answer choice C * Answer choice D * Correct answer * Explanation * Estimated solving time * Source note, if applicable ## Budget and Timeline * Fixed-price pilot budget: **$120 for 25 approved questions** * Payment will be released after the questions pass accuracy, originality, and quality review * Up to two reasonable revision rounds are included * Target completion: 7–10 calendar days * Strong performance may lead to ongoing batches of 50–100+ questions ## How to Apply Please answer the following: 1.
